The WindWorks Kit includes everything necessary to collect wind speed data: a quality Inspeed Vortex Wind Sensor, an Inspeed electronic E-Vane wind direction sensor, wire, and interface cable.
It is based on a powerful processing unit. The WindWorks software is compatible with PC or MAC!. All you need to provide is a computer and a place to mount the wind & direction sensors. WindWorks does all the rest.

LIVE DISPLAY
The WindWorks software features a live display which provides real-time information:
* Current wind speed
* Maximum wind speed since last reset, as well as the time stamp when the maximum was recorded.
* Average wind speed since the last reset. The date and time of the last reset is also shown.
* Minimum wind speed since last reset, as well as the time stamp when the min was recorded.
Control your data acquisition directly from the live display with the ability to reset live displays without affecting the data acquisition. With the click of a mouse start and stop your data logging.
The WindWorks software can display wind speeds in either mph, kph, knots, m/sec. The WindWorks software allows you to specify recording intervals down to fractions of minutes.
DATA FILES
The data stored includes the current speed, the maximum and minimum during the previous storage interval, the wind direction, and the average wind speed over the interval selected.
WindWorks data is stored in ASCII format such that it can be read by virtually any graphing software. Stopping and starting the program APPENDS the new data and does NOT overwrite existing data.
Data can be imported into applications such as Microsoft Excel® or OpenOffice for graphing , collating or printing.

OTHER APPLICATIONS WindWorks does not use computer CPU power for data collection; this is done in the WindWorks processor (in the black box). Therefore, other programs can be running on the computer whilst WindWorks is running without threatening data integrity.
USB The WindWorks interface board connects to the computer via USB. Only one USB port is needed.
WIND SENSOR WindWorks is only compatible with the Inspeed Vortex wind sensor, which provides one digital pulse per rotation.
Standard length of 15.24 metre is included in this kit. Additional wire can be added with no affect to the performance of the system.
WIND VANE WindWorks is only compatible with the Inspeed E-Vane, which provides 0-5VDC per rotation. Standard length of 15.24 metre is included in this kit. Additional wire can be added with no affect to the performance of the system.
