Dear Sir
Re: The Por-A-Mold Blue, I bought from you recently. As I told you, on the phone, I was making a Greek War Helmet, and wanted to make emblems, to fit onto the unit. Enclosed, the mold (in the blue rubber) and the Resin piece.
I'm not the best sculptor, as you can see, but still, all the detail, still came out. I was very pleased, as I thought I would stuff it up! At the moment, I'm building a 1/36 sc. Starfury, (from Babylon 5) in fibreglass. The Revell/Monogram kit, is only 1/72 scale. Although the kit box is big enough to fit a 1/48 sc model. At the moment, I'm making the engine pods (four engines = half units) and when I've a photo, I'll send a shot to you. It's amazing, you know, all this time, I've never bought any Rubber, cause, #1 I didn't think I could afford it. #2 I thought I would stuff it up, or #3 I thought it would be too difficult.
Again thanks for being at the model show, It was great doing business with you.
Regards
Glenn

Thanks Glenn, your comments really sum up the Por-A-Kast and Por-A-Mold product range…EASY TO USE!

   Riding The Waves with Por-A-Kast
Master fin maker and sailboard repairer Mark Chamberlain of Wollongong NSW had a problem. Many of his top sail boarding customers were having trouble with their specialist fins. Stresses on sailboards' fin are enormous, carrying the weight of a fully powered sail, entire board and the person riding it. Problems were occurring with fins cracking at their bases. Mark needed the material that was tough resilient yet with enough give to hold a fin up to 60cm long in the board. He also needed a material that was easy to use with quick turnarounds. After trying various materials, Mark settled on Por-A-Kast Mk 2. It had the attributes Mark was looking for, and consistent results every time. For his next project he is creating rubberised fins safe for youngsters using Por-A-Mold products.

If you are using a brush for any sort of resin work, including epoxy, polyester or even Por-A-Kast, you can easily clean them by spraying them with Synlube 531. Yes thats right! just spray the Synlube mould release agent onto the brush before you use it and its a simple task of washing it in thiners after. This works for natural hair and synthetic brushes. Why waste money on brushes, when a can of aerosol Synlube is so inexpensive
